I had a real sense of loss when Frances told me of Sue's demise. I had known her for 20 years and our friendship grew from both belonging to St Bride's congregation to seeing each other for lunches, walks and at discussion groups exploring faith issues. She was always wonderful company. Stimulating, funny, sharp in recognising the true meaning behind facades and generous with her affection.
